Tuan Malinowski (they/them) is a New York—based director and choreographer, redefining & reclaiming the landscape of American musical theatre.

Malinowski’s choreographic work includes Cabaret (Northern Stage), Pippin (Weathervane Theatre), and productions at Texas State University, Viterbo University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. They have choreographed for celebrated New York—events, like Jay Armstrong Johnson’s I Put A Spell On You and Leg Up On Life’s Night of Life. Malinowski is an alum of New York Theatre Barn’s Choreography Lab, where they were mentored by Emmy-winning, Tony-nominated choreographer Joshua Bergasse. Malinowski has been an associate/assistant on off-Broadway and regional productions such as Chay Yew’s praised reexamination of South Pacific (Goodspeed Musicals), the world premiere of Game On (Pittsburgh CLO) and The Perfect Game (Theatre Row). They were also the observer for New York City Center’s acclaimed Encores! production of The Light in the Piazza.
