Tuan Malinowski (they/them) is a New York—based director and choreographer, investigating the landscape of the American theatre through their lens as a queer, non-binary, Asian American adoptee.
Malinowski’s most recent work includes a world premiere at Northern Stage, as well as productions at Weathervane Theatre, Texas State University, Ithaca College, Viterbo University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. They have choreographed for celebrated New York—events, such as Jay Armstrong Johnson’s I Put A Spell On You, Dance Lab New York’s The Dance Lab Honors and Leg Up On Life’s Night of Life. Malinowski is an alum of Dance Lab New York’s DLNY Connect and New York Theatre Barn’s Choreography Lab. They have worked as an associate/assistant on several off-Broadway and regional productions, such as Chay Yew’s reexamination of South Pacific at Goodspeed Musicals, Pittsburgh CLO’s world premiere of Game On and the New York—premiere of The Perfect Game at Theatre Row.
